Less process. More principles.

Start with the real problem

A brief is a starting point, not the answer.
Make it simpler

Adding things is easy. Finding what can disappear without losing the idea is usually harder, and much more useful.
Make things tangible early

A prototype usually teaches us more than another hour discussing hypotheticals.
Care about the last 10%

Details are often what separate something that merely works from something people remember.
Leave room to change

Good work is rarely linear. You make something. Look at it. Learn. Remove things. Try again.

Background

I started with code

I originally trained and worked as an engineer. But the longer I spent building products, the more interested I became in the questions that came before the code.

That gradually took me from engineering into product, UX, design and creative direction. 15+ years later, I still like working across all of them.

Because problems rarely fit neatly inside one job description.
